| Peters and May Sign on with URG as Primary Sponsor |
London-based Peters & May International Boat Transport, a leading global boat shipping and logistics company, has been named “Official Logistics Partner” of the P1 Superstock Series in both the United Kingdom and the United States. As such, Peters & May will provide exclusive worldwide shipping of P1′s 28ft one-design race boats around the world as well as naming rights to one boat racing in both the UK and USA. With this support, P1 will ultimately expand the SuperStock Championship beyond the two countries into a global series.
We are really pleased to be able to partner with Powerboat P1 on their latest adventure and continue our efforts to assist in developing the sport of powerboat racing worldwide,” said Peters & May CEO David Holley.
Powerboat P1 has chosen to partner with Peters & May because of its experience in providing worldwide boat and yacht transportation services for over 8,000 vessels each year via sea, road, rail and air. The company has recently signed a three-year partnership agreement with the Union International Motonautique (UIM), the world governing body for powerboat sporting activities; it is the first company to be accredited by the UIM for the standard of logistics services it provides. A similar agreement is in place with the Qatar Marine Sports Federation and the H1 Unlimited Hydroplane series.
James Durbin, Commercial Director of Powerboat P1 said, “We are delighted to have such a respected company as Peters & May onboard. We know we can rely on Peters & May to provide us with the very best logistics service that will enable us to travel with peace of mind. We look forward to this partnership continuing as we move into other territories.”
In addition to providing shipping for various race series around the globe, Peters & May has entered into sponsor agreements with a number of individual teams in various classes as a way of “giving back” to the sport and helping to grow the sport at all levels.

| QMSF Selects Peters and May International Boat Transport |
Sheikh Hassan bin Jabor al Thani, President of the Qatar Marine Sports Federation (QMSF), has announced that global shipping company Peters & May International Boat Transport of the USA will become the Qatar offshore powerboat team’s exclusive shipping agent and ‘official logistics provider’ with immediate effect.
Making the announcement, Sheikh Hassan highlighted the importance of a reliable shipping agent, where equipment has to be transported to remote and sometimes obscure venues to meet strict racing calendar deadlines.
“We have a rigid programme and work on tight schedules,” said Sheikh Hassan.
“We need a reliable source of transportation and an on-time delivery of race parts and equipment.
“Peters & May’s success in securing shipping dates and arrival times to QMSF events in Qatar, as well as the fact that we have used them on several occasions to export and import urgent racing parts, have given them the edge over other shipping agents to hold the responsibility to transport Qatar team equipment around the world,” added Sheikh Hassan.
“Working with shipping timetables and road transportation is not a small job and for them to take on the challenge of moving our racing equipment around the world is not a small task.” David Holley, managing director of Peters & May USA, is relishing the challenge of working exclusively with the QMSF.
